Acorn Systems Announces General Availability of Profitability Analysis and Optimization Software with Utilization-Driven Automatic AllocationsHouston, TX — August 16, 2004 — Acorn Systems, already the leader in scalable profit and cost analytics, today extended its lead in enterprise profitability and analytics software by releasing the Acorn Systems Enterprise Profit System™ (Acorn EPS™) 2.2 suite, which contains several important modeling innovations, all with the same focus of increased accuracy and decreased maintenance. The release includes new versions of Profit Analyzer™ 4.2, Acorn Reports™ 2.2, and Profit Optimizer™ 2.2, which further Acorn Systems’ market leadership in providing the highest return on investment at the lowest cost of ownership. Acorn Systems has taken the guesswork out of Activity-Based Costing. The patent-pending Automatic Allocations™ introduced in this release assign department costs to the activities based on each activity’s actual utilization of the department’s resources.
